Endless opportunities – Flexibly handling challenges
Janitza’s UMG 800 energy analyzer takes energy monitoring to a whole new level. This future-proof, modularly expandable design makes it a cost-efficient solution for a wide range of requirements.
08.11.2024
The modular energy analyzer can be expanded by up to 13 modules via up to six various expansion modules on an individual basis, and these can be integrated easily in a plug-and-play manner. This means you can add up to 96 current measurement inputs – without complicated reconfiguration or investments in new hardware. For example, digital inputs can be supplemented with additional modules. All modules can be combined with each other as required. Despite an extensive range of expansion options, the solution is still space-saving and efficient, as the basic device is only 2 sub-units and each module is between 1-4 sub-units.
Well linked: Hi-tech in a small package
Seamless integration into existing infrastructures is possible with OPC UA, two Ethernet interfaces, one RS-485 interface as well as a Modbus TCP/IP gateway (for up to 31 slaves). An integrated web server ensures simple commissioning, configuration and monitoring – no additional software required.
Safety and flexibility for all sectors
Despite its compact design, the UMG 800 combines a range of powerful features and is ideal for more demanding applications. It allows for extremely precise measurement of consumption data, transients and harmonics up to the 63rd harmonics current. Furthermore, the integrated Modbus white listing feature, extended firewall functions and automatic limit value monitoring provide maximum safety. Whether in tap-off boxes or tracking energy flows in RPP/PDU systems – the UMG 800 features realtime measurement and detects the load flow direction. This also aids efficient implementation of the requirements set out in Section 14a EnWG.
