Only those who continue to develop and aim for high standards in all areas will be well positioned for the future. Janitza makes this claim and strives for a holistic continuous improvement process.

Janitza Climate Strategy 2030

Combining Efficiency and Sustainability

The responsible use of energy and resources is a key part of Janitza’s corporate strategy. Janitza has operated a certified energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 since 2013. Since 2022, this approach has been complemented by systematic greenhouse gas management.

Together, these management systems provide transparency into energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. They help identify reduction opportunities and develop appropriate measures. Janitza implements these measures and regularly reviews their effectiveness.

As a provider of energy measurement devices and solutions for greater transparency and efficient energy use, Janitza prepares an annual Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol). This involves recording and analysing the company’s Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions. The results highlight key emission sources and potential areas for reduction, while also providing a basis for regularly assessing the effectiveness of measures already implemented.

Janitza aims to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions as far as possible by 2030. To achieve this, the company is focusing on efficiency measures, renewable energy and other appropriate initiatives.

For any remaining direct emissions that cannot currently be avoided for technical or economic reasons, Janitza also supports certified climate action projects. Janitza works with an external partner to prepare its Corporate Carbon Footprint and support these projects.
