In an increasingly data-driven energy landscape, there is a strong demand for integrated systems in which hardware, software, and services interact seamlessly. To expand its value proposition, Janitza has acquired a majority stake in Digimondo GmbH — a German specialist in IoT software solutions.

The Digimondo platform niotix is a perfect complement to Janitza’s GridVis® network visualization software. While GridVis® analyzes measurement data, identifies energy-saving potential, and supports compliance with relevant standards, niotix focuses on integrating, visualizing, and connecting a wide range of IoT data sources. This makes it particularly well-suited for incorporating consumption data from utilities such as water, gas, and heat. The combination of both software solutions provides a holistic and structured view of all energy data.

"Our vendor-independent platform consolidates energy data from various sources and makes it available in real time—for greater efficiency, automation, and compliance with legal requirements. The partnership with Janitza gives us the opportunity to further develop our technology and unlock new potential in the energy sector," explains Christopher Rath, Managing Director of Digimondo GmbH.

Thomas Hilbig, Head of Product Management at Janitza, also highlights the benefits of the collaboration: "With Digimondo, we are gaining a strong partner in the field of IoT integration. The niotix platform complements our software portfolio perfectly — especially in combination with GridVis®. This opens up new possibilities for the analysis, visualization, and system integration of energy data."

With this acquisition, Janitza is further expanding its software expertise. Given the central role of GridVis® in modern energy management systems, the partnership creates new synergies. The integrated solution simplifies data-driven decision-making and delivers added value in areas such as operational safety, energy efficiency, and process stability.

"The acquisition of a majority stake in Digimondo is a significant step in our strategic development. In an increasingly digital energy world, powerful software is the key. Together, we are creating holistic solutions that offer real added value to our customers," says Axel Hessenkämper, CEO of Janitza.

Digimondo GmbH will remain based in Hamburg, continuing operations with its team of 20 employees and maintaining its reputation as a reliable partner to its customers. At the same time, Digimondo will contribute its expertise to the Janitza ecosystem and become an integral part of the company’s comprehensive energy management solution. For Janitza, the acquisition marks another milestone in its transformation from a metering equipment manufacturer into a full-service energy solutions provider.
