Janitza Recertified by ClimatePartner
Janitza meets the requirements for CO₂ accounting and reduction – and sets its sights on an even greater goal for 2030

Since December 2024, Janitza has once again been certified by ClimatePartner. This certification confirms that Janitza transparently documents and continuously optimizes its carbon footprint. The annual certification focuses on three key areas: the company’s direct emissions (Scope 1), purchased electricity (Scope 2), and selected Scope 3 emissions such as business travel and the procurement of goods and services.
To achieve certification, Janitza has implemented wide-ranging strategic measures at its Lahnau headquarters and beyond:
- Green electricity at the Lahnau site: Since 2021, Janitza has been using 100% certified green electricity
- Photovoltaic systems and heat pumps: Reduction of purchased energy and CO2-neutral self-generation
- E-mobility & charging stations: A growing proportion of electric company vehicles, with several charging stations available on site
- Avoidance & compensation: Janitza supports certified climate protection projects where emissions cannot be avoided
To track its emissions, Janitza relies on its own measurement technology and the GridVis® network visualization software. This enables precise monitoring of all relevant energy data, reveals additional optimization potential, and makes measurable progress visible. "We firmly believe that the path to a sustainable future can only succeed through continuous data collection, binding targets, and concrete actions. The course is set – and we’re staying on track," summarizes Patrick Steiß, Energy Manager at Janitza.
Sustainability remains a core element of Janitza’s corporate strategy. The company continues to uphold its clearly defined goal for 2025 and beyond: CO2 neutrality by 2030.
