Passive Rogowski coils

  • Key Details at a glance

  • The Rogowski coil is used for measuring currents and is primarily used for retrofitting in existing installations – with a choice of either on busbars or large cable cross sections. It delivers a voltage output proportionate to the current measured (e.g. 1 mV/A). It is also perfectly suited for installation in areas that are difficult to access or where space is limited.

    • Easy retrofitting without separation from the primary circuit
    • Ideally suited for measuring high and high-frequency currents
    • Flexible and easy to install
    • No extra power supply required compared with active Rogowski coils
    • Suitable for the UMG 96-PQ-L-LP (up to 8 kA)
    • Output signal: e.g. 100 mV/kA @ 50 Hz (RMS values)
    • Inside diameter: Up to 580 mm - with bayonet fasteningConnection cable: 3 m
    • Positioning error: +/- 1%
    • Frequency range: 40 Hz to 20 kHz
    • Rated insulation voltage 1 kV CAT III
